Working Groups

Employment Strategy - develop an innovative, effective and sustainable employment strategy with active leadership from employers to address the needs of the immigrants and local labour market.

Continuum - develop a collaborative and integrated service model that recognizes inter-relationships between settlement (housing, health service, and transportation); education and training; and employment.

Qualification Recognition and Enhancement - will work with stakeholders to ensure that the prior learning and credentials of immigrants are appropriately recognized to support integration of immigrants into the workforce.

Policy-Making - will advocate and make an impact at the policy making level on the urgency to act on immigrant labour market integration including contributing to the introduction of immigrant employment friendly policies at the community, corporate and government level.

Public Awareness Campaign - will raise public awareness about the contribution immigrants make towards the Canadian economic growth when their skills and experience are utilized.
